Drank 12/23/2021. Perfectly matured, deep color taste and long finish. One of the best CCs that I’ve tasted

I am always interested in unusual new wines I was disappointed to report this is one of my least favorites of all times. Smoky. Bitter. To be passed upon in the future.

At first, this "Bordeaux Blend" tasted in August 2019, seemed thin and well past its prime, but a couple of hours in, as the bottle opened and the Merlot tones emerged, the wine seemed to live up to its ratings. Drink soon, but decant, wait an hour and enjoy.

I'm not sure that I'd rate this 95 but I have to agree that the wine far exceeds it's price level. I've tasted this over a dozen years and have found the QPR of almost all vintages of of this wine far above the norm.. The currant/cassis is evident in every vintage if given time to open. When I see it advertised, I buy it. It's that simple. So what if it's the second bottle opened. It's never disappointed.

I found this bottle disappointing when I purchased it and hoped the time would tame the tannins. It didn’t. A favorite producer’s wine gone awry

A bit too early to pop and Pour. Opened up after an hour or so with blackberry undertones. Worth the money and enjoyable but a little scary at first

This Pinot was wildly sulphuric on both the nose and palate. The wine label offers its "homage" to "Parallel 39", crossing Northern California somewhere around Mendocino, but continues to describe grapes selected from "across CA". If I were to guess, the grapes might be selected from further across California than implied by the label, perhaps somewhere in California's Central Valley, where the heat and soils might not be particularly friendly to this grape. This wine somehow showed up in the cellar after a party, where other wines were consumed when this was not. It wasn't undrinkable, but is truly a wine that, given alternatives, was one on which I would pass.

Hard to belueve that this wine, nominalky designated as a local Sangiovese, was one if the mist dekicious wines in our celkar. Can't wait to buy more.

A daily drinker favorite whose currant tastes span virtually all vintages. The taste and balace arecfar higher than the pruce point. I refill the cellar whenever I find this avalable.

Tasted this in 2010 and loved it, but this last bottle in the cellar was a far different wine with an overpowering grassiness. Nothing like the usual maladies suffered by wine. Cork and even the nose were fine.

After a double decanting and an hour in the glass, the beast was calmed, the tannins softened, the cassis emerged and, with a little sharp cheese, the essence of this wine emerged. The wine is a bargain as long as you have a little extra room in the cellar to try this exercise over the upcoming years .

This was my last bottle of the 2012. With Pinots, depth of color and flavor are often at opposites ends of the spectrum, but here, color and flavor were consistent with one another. This wine was deeply colored, equally flavorful. with a nice balance of fruit and tannin. This wine was not particularly elegant a few years back, but, 5 years after bottling, the wine proved to offer a delightful exemplar of Willamette Pinot. I look forward to trying Omero's later productions.

Elegant with airing. Grenache paired beautifully with a chicken based Moroccan Tagine, not an easy dish to match. The lightness matched the chicken and the unexpectedly long finish matched the middle eastern spices.

Elegant, drinkable now but wonder about how well it will hold up over time. Pinot-like in weight, color and tannins. Would consider drinking with a lighter meat, nothing stronger.

Tasted it next to an '07 whose tannins had settled down a bit and was noticeably more balanced. Still the '09 Fontanabianca was rather remarkable Barbaresco at its $20 price point.

From the winery:
Fruity, flinty edgefloral and citrus aromas ohints of flinty chalk minerality, white pepper, gooseberry and lemon pith, all in elegant balance. Excellent finish, dry, long and mineral. Best drunk within two years.

Have to agree with an earlier reviewer who noted that the 2009 is not the same as the 2007, although suspect that it is the results of the younger tannins needing a little time to settle. At the price, it is still a bargain for this quality of wine, even taking into account the need to rest a couple of years before drinking.

80% Cab, 20% Malbec with expected Bordeaux tones, but a small touch of syrupy sweetness that that will hopefully fade with age.

Surprisingly little on the nose for this deep dark GSM blend. Cherry, plum and spice on the palate with a long finish. Far better than the price point.
