June 24, 2020 - fresh and precise. granny smith apples, some oak and creaminess. roasted nuts from the age. good acidity and stony minerality that gives this one a lift and some life. long finish. i would consider this to be a very good to excellent quality chablis 1er cru that is better than the average. It is drinking at peak now and will last several more years.

February 13, 2017 - Coravin 2/13/17: Golden-orange color, darker than I remember most of my past bottles; nose is aromatic with mature butterscotch, caramel, dried orange rind; palate is full bodied and creamy textured but also light and elegant throughout, some oxidative notes without being overly oxidative, superb medium-plus acidity throughout, some fading white fruit but still present; finish is medium length. This is fully mature Chablis, still wonderfully enjoyable but at peak and will only decline from here. My last bottle out of a case, and this was a wonderfully enjoyable wine at all stages of its evolution. 92-
2/20/17: Same as when first accessed with the Coravin, though maybe a tad more oxidation and caramel aromas. Drink up now; this was my last bottle.

July 24, 2016 - Coravin 7/24/16: Medium-deep golden color; nose is aromatic with cream, rich texture, but also some lime and fresh minerality; palate is full bodied, medium-plus acid, good white fruit, clean midpalate; finish is medium and fades a bit more than expected. I've had this wine many times over the last 5 years, and this bottle may be on a slight decline, though it is still a pleasure to drink. I would drink any remaining bottles over the next year or two. 91

January 23, 2016 - Dinner (Quince, San Francisco): Coravin 1/23/16: Medium-golden color; nose is aromatic, butterscotch, caramel, slight peach and pear; palate is full bodied, medium to medium-plus acidity, medium alcohol, slight oxidation but well balanced, fruit is fading; medium to medium-long finish. Very nice, near or maybe a half-step down from my last bottle, drinking well now. These were fabulous values on release and have aged remarkably well with only one bottle so far out of most of a case that was premoxed. 91-92
2/7/16: just like the note above. This wine is a real pleasure. 92

December 3, 2015 - Medium golden color; moderately aromatic nose with minerals, slight vanilla, caramel and slight butterscotch; palate is medium-full bodied, minerality, fresh medium-plus acid; medium finish. Very nice texture, similar to past notes. 92. Drink the rest in the next 1-2 years. My last bottle was definitely premoxed relative to this one.

November 7, 2015 - Coravin 11/7/15: Golden-orange color, significantly advanced from the last time I had this in March of this year; nose is muted, some oxidation, some white fruit; palate is full bodied, balanced acid, slight butter; finish is medium length. This is the first bottle I've had with premox, but there is definitely some oxidation here. Rating this flawed and will drink up my remaining bottles soon.
11/14/15: Remainder of the bottle. Surprisingly better than when I had it last time. Less obvious oxidation and great overall mouthfeel, though it lacks the complexity that I remember from past bottles. I'll drink another one soon to compare, but I still think this one was mildly flawed.

October 21, 2015 - Straw yellow in color, nose of smoke and cream. Mineral and steely on palate, quite reduced given the age. A huge contrast with Fevre's Les Clos tasted a few days ago. This may need more time.

March 27, 2015 - Coravin 3/27/15. Rich aromas of fruit, caramel, pineapple; palate is full bodied, fresh acid, great balance, white fruit through midpalate; finish is very good, medium length. Not quite as complex as last time for this bottle, but well balanced and a great bottle of white wine. 91

October 7, 2014 - Coravin 10/7/14: Deep golden color; nose still has tropical fruits but great depth with some butterscotch; palate is full bodied and rich but fresh, fabulous acidity throughout without being biting or harsh to give it great freshness when when not chilled (just cellar temperature), moderate depth on the palate with some butter, some oak, some fresh white fruit; finish is medium length. Still excellent and a pleasure to drink; great balance overall and ready but with 5 years ahead of it as well. 90-91
