Community Tasting Notes 7

July 11, 2013 - This was a bit heavy, but not necessarily in an international style. Ripe fruit, ink, some spice, but not much, if any, oak and it was balanced with a decent acidity. I've not had much from the area, so I don't know the style, but this was not so heavy or over-oaked that I was disappointed. Perhaps better for a cold night with some red meat involved. Rebuy: maybe.

March 26, 2013 - Round and polished, black cherries and blackberries. Hint of pepper. International style... Tastes like it could be from anywhere.

PLV gut (€ 8,60).

May 17, 2012 - Decanted for ~1 hour. Nice dark berries, integrated acidity and a good spicy/mineral component, that you would expect form a southern french red. Not much tannins, no oak, no remarkable texture. It's nice to drink, tasty, but nothing special. For € 8,60 there is definately better stuff to buy, especially within that region.
