June 9, 2019 - This is pretty bad considering how good a wine of this caliber should be. Stewed, alcoholic, volatile, over-extracted, unpleasant, monolithic, etc. I believe time has only made this wine worse. Could be the vintage combined with a young winery but I am glad I did not commit beyond the initial release.
May 29, 2019 - Really showing well, thrown som tannin, but acidity balanced and fruit more restrained. Floral, lavender, green tea leaf, rhubarb and cassis. Wood WELL integrated, and looking forward to trying again in a year or so.
February 9, 2019 - No notes but still drinking very nicely. Lush fruit, smooth and popular.
January 2, 2018 - very intense rich fruits with lots of almost stewed type fruits but luxurious
October 26, 2015 - Mom and Brad loved. I found it was over the top. Too much alcohol, in your face fruit. Not my style at all.
March 15, 2013 - Dark and brooding nose with oak, chocolate and dark fruits. The palate is thick and chewy. Grainy texture with lots of dark fruits and some vanilla. The finish is bitter and a little disjointed. I keep being dissapointed by epoch. Not a bad wine but just not hitting the right notes for me.
March 14, 2012 - Very dark - inky. Nose has lots of dark fruit and spice and oak. It is very strong and alcoholic in the mouth, medium length. At this age, with only fruit and oak, no secondary flavours except some balsamic character on the finish, I doubt it will age gracefully. Too much alcohol at 15.8%.
February 28, 2012 - Note after 2 hour decant. Dried cherries, plums and raisins on the nose. Similar fruits on the palate with an added dose of black pepper. Nice wine.
January 16, 2012 - Balanced, rich, and satisfying. Needs some more time to integrate. Will probably go for at least another 10 years.
January 5, 2012 - Still a bit tannic. Cherries and Rasberries take the forefront.
Nice now. Will get better.
