September 7, 2011 - Not too shabby, BETTER THE SECOND NIGHT. Still, it remained a bit reticent and simple. It was clean, but lacked personality. A hint of earth on the palate saved it for me. Nice color, mild aromatics.

July 30, 2011 - One of the best Pinot's I've seen in the sub-$15 category. It has some of that old-world cheap Bordeaux quality of thin wine with a dry woody background. They've filled it up nicely with a bit of oak, though, and the fruit has a bit more heft than some other cheap Bourgogne. Not anything to go crazy about, but a lot better than a lot of domestic Pinot in the $10-$25 range. Worth keeping on the list as a standby.
