May 11, 2022 - I was wrong on last try, this was indeed better. Fruit was vibrant on first night, wine had taken on weight and secondary flavors by second night. Overperformed.

October 29, 2020 - At first a little prunish, but that blew off after 30-45 mins in the glass. After that I'd say a bit fruit-heavy, not a lot of earthy/secondary flavors I'd prefer. Hard for me to see this getting better.

December 1, 2019 - Nothing that remarkable, but a very enjoyable wine, easy to drink, classic CdR profile, well-rounded and balanced between fruit, earth, and herb. Was a crowdpleaser, enjoyed over traditional Thanksgiving meal. Decanted in glass; from a 1.5L.

January 4, 2017 - Opened 30 minutes prior to pairing with Martha Stewart's Green Cauldron Curry recipe. A medium+ ruby in the glass, the nose beckoning with currant, plum, thyme and a very little bit of menthol. Very good+ intensity and concentration, extending into a 20+ second finish; a bit of sediment in the glass at the end. This stood up just fine to the spicy curry dish, and was very much appreciated by HRH and I!

January 24, 2015 - deep color, stains the glass. Lots of complexity with deep fruits, leather, earth and graphite. Nice longish finish. Very well integrated.
