March 7, 2021 - Dujac tasting with Jeremy & Diana (Zoom): From Les Drazey prior to the acquisition/addition of Les Fremières into the Dujac C-M village wine. Only ~60% whole cluster in 2001 following the domaines addition of a de-stemmer. Pretty and enchanting nose of red cherry with an array of spice and herbs. A complete and balanced wine that is still fresh and bright while also complex. At peak.

March 7, 2021 - Dujac Tasting with Jeremy and Diana (Chicago, IL and Nuits-Saint-Georges, France): From Drazeys. Quite classic Dujac styling with a good hint of the classic spice. The palate is a little rounder and softer than the amount of acidity might lead one to expect. Despite the age, this does have lots of the red fruit that speaks very true of the commune.

March 7, 2021 - Domaine Dujac Zoom Tasting with Jeremy and Diana (Planet Earth): Fully mature red cherry with some pronounced tannins and very enticing spice notes. I like the aromas a good deal more than the flavors. I like the wine overall, but others enjoyed this considerably more.

July 7, 2011 - I would be interested to know where they source the fruit for this bottling. Or where they did for ’01. This is very nice but seems to lean a bit more to the Morey side of the Chambolle equation. Definitely oriented around darkly tinged fruit, heavier spicing and some dinkity-dank. A good bit of finishing tannin round it all up into a pretty heady and masculine package of a village Chambolle. Perhaps more time will smooth and buffer this wine. Not that it wasn’t enjoyable as it was certainly quite delicious if not exactly what we were expecting. That all being said, this was a very good village wine at 9 years of age. While not as concentrated as the GC Combottes this was plenty dense and could easily go 5-10 more years. Will be interesting to see if this ever shows a Chambolle nature to it.
