March 29, 2020 - Drink it now if you have it
February 15, 2019 - While I have no formal notes, this was a wonderful pinot noir from Ken Wright - and from my favorite KW vineyard. It had lovely, mouth-coating red fruit flavors. It was not "light" or "one dimensional," but it lacked in depth. It made up for that in freshness. It went very well with scallops (with a lovely bit of spice) and risotto.
We finished the bottle on day 2, and it was just as enjoyable as when first opened.
June 28, 2018 - Wonderful Pinot that is drinking excellent. Very balanced and full bodied with dark and red fruits.
June 26, 2018 - Delicious.
January 9, 2018 - In a very good place right now. I am going to drink up the rest.
September 30, 2017 - Classic OR PN with dark, plummy fruit and incense notes. Beautifully evolved, very complete.
November 11, 2015 - Decanted for two hours; consumed over three hours with and without accompanying food. Muted earthy bouquet with sour cherry predominant. Little to no evolution over time and consequently somewhat unidimensional. Much different from earlier note. Willh try again in several months.
May 20, 2015 - This is a great wine. There seems to be great variability over the last several years. Some good vintages, some less good. This bottle is already developing secondary characteristics. When I opened I thought it was a lot older. It doesn't hit you in the face like most KW pinots. It aged very gracefully. Light on its feet with plenty of acidity. Still has dark fruit tone with some caramel. Excellent.
April 28, 2015 - Lost some of it's racy youth. Will this one become elegant iin it's older age ?
April 16, 2015 - Loved it. An absolutely marvelous Pinot with intense cherry and berry fruit without straying into jammy. There's an earthiness to the long finish. I don't use the 100-point scale, but this is 5 out of 5.
