    October 22, 2016 - PnP. Medium bright ruby. Airy nose of red fruits, some blood orange, and some Burgundian "stink", which seems to blow off. On the palate this is medium weight and silky smooth; no tannins to resolve. Lovely wine - at peak, though could keep another year or two.

    May 10, 2015 - Decanted for 1hr and drank up to 1hr;
    Delicate nose, dried strawberries, earthy with a hint of barnyard. Supple, silky wine with flavors of dried berry, dried strawberry, cedar, hints of sunburned raisins, thyme or tea, light tobacco, smooth lingering finish.

    September 14, 2014 - Delicious.

    Aromas of cinnamon, strawberry, and dark red fruit are immediately sensed; as the wine evolves in the glass, they become more intense. The color ranges from a deep burgundy to a garnet color that bleeds into a clear meniscus at the edge of the glass. The garnet is a visual parallel of the cinnamon note.

    Bright, tart red fruit taste, with spicy undertones and a long finish. Drunk over a period of an hour, the flavors became fuller, richer, more nuanced. The tannins are extremely well integrated - this wine is drinking beautifully now, and it will be interesting to see how it matures.

    Rated 2 on a scale of -1 to 3, I may later be inclined to elevate this to a 3. This is an extraordinary expression of Sonoma terroir, and a tribute to the restraint of the winemaker.

    September 26, 2013 - Man, what a difference time in the bottle has made for this wine. It is a much more integrated and balanced wine. Still a bit tight, but comes into its own after about 30-45 min. Bright red fruits, crisp acidity to keep it racy. Drink with a decant or hold for another 6-12 months.

    July 31, 2013 - Popped and poured and consumed over 3 hours. Perfumy nose of strawberry and flowers which for me was the wine's best asset. Strawberry and rhubarb flavors sitting atop decent structure simply struck me as textbook delicate. Good textbook, but in a vintage as strong as 2009 was across the board for pinot, I was expecting more intensity and breadth.
