November 24, 2022 - Very good. Still within the window, but I’f you’re thinking about it drink it.
September 18, 2020 - At a blind tasting, theme was Merlot, minimum 10 years old. Obviously new world, all guessed California. Dark purple, no real signs of age. Nose had dark fruits, plums, cassis. Palate had some complexity, but one could really taste the alcohol. Long finish. Started off the tasting, was soon eclipsed. Not bad, not great.
June 17, 2019 - Others seem to have found this faded, I still get good (aged) fruit, ripe plumb. Good tannic and acidic structure. I recall not loving this wine when I first bought it some years ago but I think it's aged well.
January 13, 2019 - Fruit is gone.
August 23, 2018 - PnP, splash decant, returned to bottle. Clear, deep red/brown/purple. Rich nose. This was disappointing. Heavy, black fruit, flat, earthy, maybe waited too long. Full body, long finish. $43
December 25, 2016 - Perfectly aged Merlot drinking great, softened tannins and deep fruit. Drink now and enjoy. Wish I had a few more
December 15, 2016 - Drinkable. Opened up after 30 minutes. Classic Merlot.
November 4, 2016 - Thought this has really matured since tasting it at the winery years ago. The tannins have softened, there's some cherry and blackberry's on the nose and pallet, with hints of tobacco.
March 13, 2016 - 3-13 Opened early in the day around 1pm to have with steak at night.
January 17, 2016 - Perfectly aged and ready to drink
