October 21, 2012 - 13.5% alcohol. Medium cherry color. Initially tight nose, but it opened up to reveal pretty black cherry and earth notes. In the mouth, quite supple and with good, slightly tart cherry fruit. Solid underlying complexity, good acidity, and a pleasant finish. Very nice. B+
October 3, 2012 - It's amazing how much better the 2009 vintage of this bottling is than the 2008. Where the 08 is limited aromatically and falls flat on the palate, the 09 has enjoyable classic CA Pinot markings on the nose and delivers vibrant fruit on the palate. 2009 CA Pinot is the real deal.
September 17, 2012 - served with dinner after a Benziger Calabazas red blend. This had a beautiful nose of flowers and subtle spice. Palate was less than the nose, dark cherry, mineral, Mid-weight, possibly fuller than the Benziger.
April 4, 2012 - A medium bodied light ruby red bursting with crisp acidity and fresh red fruits. Elegant and interesting, not overbearing but in fact a bit restrained, and turning to minerals, soda, and rocks at the finish.
