January 9, 2024 - Sue's bottle. Maturing color, complex aromatics, good fruit and leathery. Excellent example of mature Brunello.

January 22, 2022 - Well kept bottles are still drinking well.
Mature color but no excess browning.
Beautiful complex aromas spanning the whole spectrum: still fruit remnants, iron, earthy notes, leather. Very smooth, great texture. No excess of oak or alcohol; very well balanced.
    Everything I was looking for.

July 13, 2020 - Medium light red with brown edges. Light aged nose, nutmeg, cinnamon, plum and cherry nose. Obviously aged Sangiovese. Dry earthy cherry flavours and a soft finish with just enough acid.

    March 13, 2016 - Over the hill

January 8, 2016 - Flaky cork says it all... Hope the remaining bottles held up better.

(Poggio Antico Brunello di Montalcino) Light medium red color with pale meniscus; pomegranate, redolent red fruit and dried cherry nose; tasty, silky palate with rounded cherry, quite lovely; long finish 94+ pts.
