April 8, 2023 - Maybe this still has an upside, but it is really hard to imagine how red one can be better than this....

March 5, 2023 - Seattle Chevaliers dinner (Le Grand Bistro Américain, Kirkland, WA, USA): Insane, explosive fireworks on the nose, expansive and impossibly long on the palate. Still so young but with so much depth and purity. Truly memorable.

January 17, 2020 - During a Paulee dinner so only brief impressions: initially very closed/reduced, needed a double decant and a lot of air. Then showed its pedigree with haunting aromas of dried meat, Vosne spices, red fruit. Very good density, yet elegant, no 2009 plumpness visible. Grand wine. Do not drink before 2025 if you want to experience the full package.

January 17, 2020 - Paulee at Grand Hyatt in Singapore. WOTN by a fair margin. Very aromatic and fresh, showing non of the ripeness one might expect in 09. Awesome balance and length. Wow wine

December 11, 2018 - Jube-like red and black fruits mix it up with licorice and flora. It is luscious and creamy with great intensity and a weightless airy feel. Length is supreme.

November 10, 2018 - Another big H-N RSV, but it retains elegance, balance and plenty of focus. Lovely mineral spine to complement the dark fruits and spice. Like the 08 Clos de Tart, this has plenty of time in front of it, but is drinking surprisingly well right now. An expensive but great Burgundy.

January 13, 2016 - [IWFS-Vic DRC Montrachet, Various RSV & d'Yquem Dinner at Vue de Monde] Deep dark crimson, semi-translucent with purple hue. Floral black cherry blackberry bouquet with blueberry, dark plum, tea, anise, clove, ginger & sandalwood notes. About medium full, quite intense, deep, ripe, lush & ample, spicy black & blue fruit flavors of good concentration, seamlessly integrated with silky smooth tannins, polished dry extracts & fine acidity; superb complex aromatics with remarkable spice inculcation & racy textural refinement all add credence to its pedigree. Long discreet finish.
