June 23, 2014 - La Forest always is a very nice wine. This bottle was good but could use a bit more age on it. Crystal clear pale lemon yellow in the glass. Nose of honey, melon and citrus. In the mouth well balanced with firm acidity and some mineral notes. I'll try my last bottle in ten years...

April 6, 2014 - Worrying dark color, but the palate tastes very clean, no premox. Fresh palate that seems much younger, good complexities, touch of old wood, wool notes. Loved this.
Rothmann's with Vinotas, the Wilfords and Roy H.

September 15, 2013 - Too cold fridge --> temporary freeze and corked pushed part way out a few days prior to drinking. So may have been a bit muted as a result but certainly no premox and possessed of satisfying depth.

May 6, 2013 - Medium yellow-very healthy looking for age. Some definite Chablis sea shells, but so much lime and green flowers that you could think you were drinking Sancerre. Middle weight with a good combination of acidic tartness and some extra richness. Excellent, long stony finish. Whereas I thought that several recent bottles were fully mature, this one was the liveliest I've tasted in several years-go figure. This is my last bottle of a wine I've drunk over on over a dozen occasions; goodbye, old friend.

January 18, 2013 - Burdundies @ Asher's (Westport, CT): This wins the "rockhead" award for the night. Very hard, saline and minerally when first popped. This opened up quickly and revealed its lemony, floral notes... but make no mistake about it, this is a lean, mean bath of minerals... in the best possible way. Bright, focused and Lip-smackingly good.

(Dauvissat Chablis ‘La Forest) The 2000 Dauvissat Chablis ‘La Forest’ was cleaner, possessing more anise in the nose, pungent, rocky, minerally and more classic. There were nice citric dust flavors and lots of rocks, ‘so much minerals and flinty,’ as Joel added
