November 13, 2016 - Best wine I've had in 2016 bar none. Layered, complex, rich. Oaky on the nose, good acid and tons of fruit.

September 16, 2016 - This was opened only an hour before initial sips. Obviously very tight, but opened nicely with time before dinner. Dark fruits with a few red notes, spice and leather as well. Drinking nicely now, but should be sublime in another five years or so.

September 10, 2016 - A bunch of mostly Cal Cabs (MOCA (Cleveland)): This is excellent. I am a bit surprised as to how well it is drinking, but then I remember that 09 is now 7 years from vintage. The nose is nice with cassis, plums, cherries and some herbal strings. On the palate, lovely texture. Not as big as some vintages. Lots of fruit, already making the move to tertiary complexity. Still plenty of fruit left. Some tannins. Long finish.
