January 13, 2016 - Dark and aromatic, but very closed down initially. Opened up nicely after about an hour decant. Massive core of rich dark fruit, hints of black licorice, pepper, and cocoa. Nicely balance structure and drinkable now, but will give other bottles a few more years.

October 17, 2015 - Beautiful wine. Big, complex nose of dark cherry, mocha, licorice. Loads of fruit; continued to evolve through the night.

October 11, 2015 - Spectacular! I've had almost every vintage of Scarecrow with the exception of the '10, '11 and '12. This is definitely singing right now! Gorgeous blue and black fruit, mocha notes, baking spice and well balanced tannin. Gave it a 2 hour decant.

August 8, 2015 - Gave it a 2 hour decant. Soft tannins, approachable. Terrific core of dark fruits, concentrated and plush, but not overextracted. Long finish, drinking great right now--- will surely evolve in time.

February 2, 2015 - This lived up to the lofty expectations. Extremely dark, rich, and indulgent.

(Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon) Saturated very dark ruby color; appealing, ripe blackberry, blueberry, ripe plum, tar, mocha nose; deep black fruit, tart black currant, tart blackberry, wild berry, nutmeg, caramel palate with blueberry notes, good balance and sweet, firm tannins; needs 4-plus years; long finish (15.3% alcohol)
