February 29, 2024 - Wine group NR & SR dinner at A-Side Public House in St Paul MN. Samll pour from the other table. I love the vintage but still too tannic at this point, for my liking. This needs at least 3 more years for the structure to meld or perhaps a lot more air as I don't know how much air this got?? Right now, 90pts if forced to score what I drank tonight. This will easily be a 93+ wine with age or more air?

February 28, 2024 - Any Rhone (A Side Public House): The Pegau profile is evident, only a touch of brett on this bottle. Kirsch, garrigue, mushroom, leather and funk.

February 25, 2024 - Monthly Tasting Group: All the Rhones (A - Side Public House, St. Paul, MN): Dark red color. Two hour decant. Drank a glass over an hour. Funky, brett, mushroom, spicy garrigue, horse leather, dark cherry, lacqueur, medium full bodied, classic Pegau. Not too much by any means, loved it. 93+ to 94pts.

February 22, 2024 - Terrific and perfectly balanced. Still a plethora of fruit. At its peak. Yum!

    February 20, 2024 - See prior notes:
Served in Burgundy glass nose is really something to experience. Open for business 30 minutes after cork pull. If you like your fruit (black cherry and black raspberry) balanced against non fruit (Leather, Musk and Smoke) components its in a good place at the moment.
Acidity spot on, tannins noticeable but supportive, medium plus weight with good concentration, Palate almost creamy underneath tannic backbone, Mourvèdre shines here, Yes, there is some barnyard but, when served temp 60-65 its very minimal. Alc 14% seems understated, buzz buzz, yet there is no sense of heat.
Day 2 after vacuum and chill brings more robust tannins and Uber Leather. Further aging should accentuate the non fruit components. Purchased upon release, stored accordingly, enjoyed with grilled beef… Na zdrowie
