August 9, 2023 - Stored in a cold cellar. Still young. Lovely balance of acidity, fruit and minerality. Long and persistent. Needs plenty of air to reveal itself. Will improve.

May 15, 2022 - I had never had this wine before. It was a well balanced, but a big, rich wine. For me, this had one gear: Honey, which dominated throughout the entire vertical. Drank with (and outclassed by) a Latour-Giraud Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrieres". The genevrieres was simply a more complex and elegant wine.

March 3, 2019 - A beautiful bottle. Exactly what i would want good quality white burg to taste like at 10 years old. 4th of a case of 12. No rush to drink up the rest - should remain in a good place for a good few years yet.

June 30, 2018 - Now fully mature , satisfying and complex, difficult to analyse while chatting over lunch. I managed to note a beautiful rounded buttery oak finish. deserved more thought and analysis.

July 11, 2015 - Opened at Paese. The reticent nose was due to my fault, the bottle I brought was too cold. After 5 minutes the aromas of white flowers, lemon blossoms, and some reduction. After 20 minutes the aromas was exceeding the palate impression. The attack was low volume, the ripe fleshy fruit and modest mineral tones wanting from any meaningful acidity. It was a bit flabby, and not a reminder of a CdlGarenne that I had a couple of years prior, the vintage I don't recall now.

It was still elegant, and easy for me to finish the whole bottle - my personal sign as I tend not to do that with difficult wines - enough to warrant a wish for more.

Was it in a dumb phase, or was it too cold beyond repair? The pedigree was evident, but alas, it was my only bottle.

August 12, 2014 - Classic Puligny Monrachet but needs time. Evolved in bottle and glass for several hours. Grand Cru quality. Full of minerality and lovely acidity. Will be 95+. Leave five years.
