April 25, 2022 - I paid $50 for this... what a buy (admittedly 8-9 years ago, before to price spike in wine)... what a beautiful red burg... dense and on the dark side of red fruit, with acidity for balance... feels like this can go 10-15 more years and I think maybe still improve, felt like it had a hint of bitterness (oak still?)... but what an awesome wine for the price... my son said he loved the nose on this (which we rarely discuss) when he grabbed his first glass, love Comte Lafon, only sad part is the GIANT spike in the cost of his Meursault whites

October 20, 2020 - Darker red than expected, red rim with some signs of age.
Restrained nose, seems to need some time to open up, red cherries and strawberries, vines.
Acidity, muted cherries, good body and a little sweetness.
Difficult at this point - has something to it, but closed right now. Is this past it, or needs more time? Has the acidity to last many years.

January 18, 2019 - Red fruits. Not much development. Decent quaff. It just feels a bit hollow on the mid-palate. It shows somewhat innocuous.

August 25, 2018 - Really good. For a ripe vintage this had some nice crunchy fruits.

July 14, 2017 - Big medium-red fruit with touches of blueberry. Still on the young side, but very very good to drink now. Benefited with 90 minutes of air. Good definition. Only lacks the refinement of the best appellations.
