June 28, 2017 - This was good but really still developing for my taste. The nose still had a fair amount of oak, but also nice dark fruit, herbs, mint, bell pepper, earth. The palate is nicely integrated and enjoyable. If the oak were a bit more integrated this would be very good.

April 26, 2017 - Continuing the birthday celebrations, some good friends and I polished off 3 bottles of this heavenly goodness. Fantastic and oddly 'classy' aromas reminiscent of Pauillac. With all wines I enjoy, there has to be a balance and this one started out with strong plum and jam notes into well developed strong tannins creating waves of food friendly flavour. Some spice and even some carbon/smoke notes! Just divine and glad we aged it for the decade.

January 22, 2017 - solid wine. Nothing remarkable. Cherries and spice, leather as some others have noted. I paid 35 - still goood QPR.

    December 20, 2016 - Very nice with a tenderloin.

December 15, 2016 - Solid but not wowed. Good power with a little finesse. Dark cherry, blackberry, a little tobacco and ??? that's pretty much it. Tannins are coming together nicely, still acid up front, just left wanting more.

(Ridge Santa Cruz Mountains Estate) Very dark ruby color; mocha, toasty American oak nose; appealing, rich, ripe black currant, blackberry, loam palate with good acidity and balance; medium-plus finish (56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot)
