May 14, 2022 - Probably a year or two past its prime, but still very drinkable. Tannins fully resolved, still red in color. Not much on the nose but fairly flavorful with ripe fruit. Unlike other reviewers I did not find it overly alcoholic.
The Dusi held up better than a 2009 Duarte we drank at the same time, which was thin and showing a brown rim, although it opened up a bit in the glass.
April 18, 2021 - Typical Turley. Never disappoints.
November 17, 2019 - (Vertical Dusi tasting at Turley.) Fully mature and drinking beautifully. Secondary and tertiary aromas and flavors joined by a few remaining primary flavors. Black plums, thyme, crushed lavender and coal tar in a long, lingering finish. Tannins have integrated fully. Beautifully expressive. I wouldn’t wait on these. Worth Seeking Out.
April 8, 2018 - Still seemed a little young, with high alcohol. Good cherry flavor, but not a lot after that.
March 11, 2018 - The last of our three bottles, a little past its drinking window.
Opaque plum with a thin rim. Underbrush aromas. Initial tannins with a taste of nori. Opening up with ripe plum fruit. A little bit of a metallic aftertaste. High alcohol a bit of a distraction.
February 5, 2018 - Too much alcohol on the palate. Maybe beyond its drinking window.
November 11, 2017 - Very nice. Still showing well with bright fruit.
April 5, 2017 - A bit high on the abv, but the baked cherry and spice box is quite nice. Glides across the palate.
March 8, 2017 - Softer and light spice, briar bush fruits, lighter than most Turley zins, not enough oomph or acid to pull it off.
November 7, 2016 - A little old now. Getting some raisin flavors.
