November 24, 2016 - Rustic and robust. Immensely complex, bursting with blackberry, currant, vanilla, cinnamon and sage. Been and crushed stone notes lead to a smooth but dry finish that lasts an eternity.

November 2, 2016 - Opens a bit overdone on the nose -- blackberry, smoke, roasted meat and black pepper. On the palate, raspberry and blackberry with a flinty mineral note. Better at cellar temperature. Showed heat and a roasted quality when warmed a bit.

September 4, 2016 - Decanted for two hours; no sediment. Deep crimson color. Briery nose of blackberry and raspberry, along with cracked white pepper. Medium-to-full bodied, slightly jammy, mouth-coating red and black fruits on the palate with ample acids and tannins giving a great structure. A long and delightful finish carries on the complex blend of flavors. A good QPR at $36. Wish I had more.

April 30, 2016 - A good wine, lightish for Turley with loads if cracked pepper, zinberry, molasses and a bit of a dry finish. Not cloying, light on its feet.1 person found this helpful Comment
