Delicate, citrussy, fine mousse but lacking core depth compared to the standard PR NV. Bone dry apéritif fizz. -

January 1, 2023 - Yellow-gold. Bready and light citrus nose. On the palate lemon citrus, mineral - saline. Complex yeasty. - bready background. Very clean linear and long. Focussed. Very good indeed. Went a great with smoked trout, crème fraîche, dill and blinis on Christmas Day.

February 16, 2020 - Pale lemon in the glass. Tiny bubbles, very persistent. Lots of rich aromatics, leaning more to tropical fruit (mango, papaya, melon). Subtle brioche and toast. Zippy on the palate, but lacks that fruit richness detected on the nose. Easy to drink, but doesn't have enough depth to make me come back for more. Medium finish. I remember this being much better a few years back, sad.

November 25, 2019 - A private tasting and dinner (Champagne Pol Roger, Épernay, France): Zero dosage, also an equal blend of the three classical varieties, but more mature base wines than the White Foil to compensate for the absence of sugar. Floral and fresh expression on the nose, nutty, linear but rounded, minerally and long finish.
