July 16, 2016 - I don't get the 93 score here. This is a nice wine but nothing special.
Classic Cali pinot noir in just about every dimension but just not outstanding. For $20 it would be a great value, but does not deliver what you would expect from the ratings and the price point.

July 5, 2016 - I know some people love this style, I am not so enamored. It is very fruit forward, dark ruby crimson. Nose hits you right away with cherry cola and oaky vanilla, like a Dr. Pepper soft drink which I don't particularly like in my wine. With air it does round out a bit. Somewhat hot, it does settle down with air time to give some bright cherry fruit and some "chewy" texture but for me seems rather one dimensional. To be fair it went really well with my spicy chipotle chili cheeseburger. The spice brought out more depth of flavor in the wine for sure.

July 1, 2016 - Our first tasting of this wine (you know, drink no wine before its ti me). A gorgeous wine now for sure. Dark red color, lots of cola, dark cherry, anise, medium weight, perfect balance and very smooth. The finish was exceptionally long. Terrific!

June 26, 2016 - We have been drinking a few 2009 KBs lately and similarly the Sonoma Coast exhibits noteable cola and cherry notes although in a more bright and restrained style than some of its single vineyard siblings. Hints of caramel on the finish.
