  February 18, 2023 - Has held up very well. Plenty of rich, ripe black fruit, supported by velvety tannins which still have a nice chewiness. Has nicely integrated the American oak. Almost fully hides the 15.2% alcohol. Hasn't developed much complexity though.

  March 14, 2022 - Ripe fruit, plums, and white pepper on the nose. The palate has similar notes with red plums and a tart cherry note. Medium finish. Very ripe (although not over the top) and still lots of fruit left. This may need more time, right now it's just ripe fruit...

  February 23, 2017 - Last tasted in 2015, this bottle was much better. Still dark purple in the glass with zero bricking. Upon opening the nose was thin and alcoholic but it mellowed within 1/2 hour to ripe, round fruit. A big mouthful of fruit. So impressive for its (over)age.

  November 7, 2015 - Sadly past its prime but still good enough to show what it once was. Deep red in then glass. Red licorice and raspberry on the nose and palate. Lots of earthy notes too. Time to drink up what I have left.
