May 18, 2023 - Agree with previous note that it is aging faster than how 99 should be.
March 25, 2017 - A bit of funk surprised us on opening. Nose cleared up after 10 mins.
Fine consistent bead. Colour is part way between typical rosé and an RD Bolli.
More brut than rosé on palate , ie light fruit, good acid and mineral.
In short, very good but not great rosé champagne.
October 3, 2015 - Still excellent. Probably wouldn't wait for ages to open this one as I guess it is right on it's peak.
June 20, 2015 - We agree with recent reviews. It's in a great spot but seems to have aged more than I expected. Recently drank the 2002 which is a tough comparison but the 2002 is still remarkably fresh where as the secondary notes are coming out in this. Really enjoyable but depends on the style one likes.
March 1, 2015 - This was in a beautiful spot, but a little more advanced than I would have expected given the age and the near-perfect storage this has had directly from release. Leaning more into the aged notes of caramel, baked apples, and honey. I'd love to drink this again, but if I had more in the cellar I'd check in on this repeatedly throughout the year. Drink now - 2020 with good storage.
June 19, 2014 - Well this is a beauty. Its moved into that chocolate mocha stage of middle life. Soft bubbles, oh so cream, rich, everlasting finish. Must have more.
January 1, 2014 - The first bottle opened in 2014. Really a fantastic start to this year.
One of the best rose Champagner I ever had. Very round and elegant, nonetheless complex, fruit and very nice and soft acidity.
July 20, 2012 - Pinkish red in color, very fresh nose of strawberries and yeast. Very fresh acidity with strawberry juice and very yeasty with good mineral backbone. After an hour nose is even more open with some white flower tones. Excellent to look at, smell and taste, fantastic rose.
