Long et sérieux. Délicieux !

December 19, 2023 - In the bouquet dark berries, plums, cherries and vanilla. On the palate a concentrated and full bodied wine with a lot of juicy, good acidity and round tannin, laurel and a long finish. Beautiful wine in its young maturity stage. 93+

November 4, 2023 - After couple of disappointing bottes, nice to see that this was spot on. Still dark in colour, but with a lovely bright vibrant brick rim. Nose is pure and intense, nicely aromatic, with iron, mineral, charcoal and dark plum and currant fruit. Palate is similar, taut and intense, with ripe currant and dark plum fruit, juicy with tasty plum acidity, , fruit is nicely sweet with minimal tannins and a very long minerally finish. Absolutely delicious with some baked chicken thighs. Really excellent.

October 16, 2021 - First bottle of this batch was rather underwhelming a couple of months ago. This one is spot on. Only short decant, much vanilla at first, decreasing over time giving way to complexes aromas.

September 5, 2021 - Interestingly enough I was reading the notes from the 2010 E. Guigal Hermitage and so only decanted for 30 minutes. This duration seemed to do the trick (contrary to other notes) and while I did not take detailed notes, I remember a complex wine on the nose and palate with a long finish. Notes of blue fruits, some spices, and cedar and forest floor on the nose and palate. Super happy with the wine at my acquisition cost of 45/bottle, not sure I would pay much more than that today... Paired extremely well with a steak sandwich
