August 12, 2023 - Based on the prior notes, I suppose it all depends on storage conditions. My bottle was perfect and in the zone. Yes, it’s 16% alcohol and you can definitely feel the heat, but no one pops a CdP looking for 12%. Surprisingly, the alcohol was very well integrated. It’s big, plush, and round. Tannins very much resolved

Decanted 1 hr before pairing with grilled flank v upon opening, the nose was muted. Not much flavor either. However, about 45 mins in, this wine began to sing Beautiful nose of creosote, dark berries, Provence herbs, lavender, and other flowers. Luxurious mouthfeel. Finish of 30+ seconds

    Excellent Garagiste QPR.

December 7, 2022 - For me this was in the prime drinking window. Nicely balanced on the palate belying the 16% ABV.

March 8, 2022 - comes out a pale, transparent brick and immediately darkens and becomes opaque after a few minutes of air - fascinating! still hot but developing some nice aged character while still retaining some fruit. actually drinking very well and I'd wager it still has a few years of development in it, but it's satisfying today for what it is.

August 1, 2021 - A little disappointed. Beautiful nose, but going soft on the palate and a definite bitter finish. Probably a year past prime.

April 14, 2021 - At perfect maturity. Mauve-ish garnet color, soft plums, tomato, leather and thyme. Long, velvety finish. Excellent.
