March 10, 2019 - Deep dark purple. Nose of dried red fruit. Silky, rich, viscous. Match sticks, blackberries and some rust to taste. Great finish. In a good place now with years to go.

October 18, 2013 - Drank with appetizer of wild mushrooms in a puff pastry at our favorite restaurant the Birchrunville Cafe. We were saving this bottle to put a little more time on it but couldn't wait any longer and it didn't disappoint. A great nose of dark fruit and spices. Excellent body and balance of fruit, oak and tannins. It was so good I drank it with the main course of Bronzino which we had brought a white to accompany. It probably would have been even better with a little more age but one must seize the day!
