September 20, 2014 - Looks old school. Nose is slightly reduced with faint red fruits, earth and spice. Quite vineous and restrained. Minty. Light to medium bodied despite its 14% alcohol, a little hot, dusty tannin, dry, hollow, not a lot of fruit. Actually, no fruit. Mineral. Bitter, watery finish. My guess is this that is past its peak.

April 8, 2014 - Price/quality is good. Typical chianti, bit raw but I like it.

November 8, 2013 - Sorry, Ian D'agata and CSW, but I really wasn't wild for this either. Drank it a week ago and my recollection isn't very detailed, but I can say that my bottle wasn't very bretty; it was kind of rough/tannic without being at all detailed - like the darkish fruit were muffled inside a burlap bag. Disjointed; it just didn't hang together. It was at least somewhat better on day three, so time may help a bit. So does hearty food: this was oddly a seriously poor match for pasta with veg and sausage, better with a roast lamb dish.

October 25, 2013 - Not an enjoyable bottle of wine. Too much brett, flat flavors. Don't bother with this.

April 12, 2013 - Overly bretty on the nose initially, to a fault. Otherwise, nondescript fruit and oak, lacking typicity. I thought this could be any number of Cali/Aussie red blends off the shelf at the local grocery store. 14% alcohol. Even at this value price point, I expected much more. Maybe just a bad bottle, but this one was a real dud.
