May 4, 2017 - Nose is a bit over-ripe. Lots of stewed fruits and some spice. The palate is very full-bodied but dense, fresh and with good structure. Bright, even. Fascinating interplay of very high ripeness and structure, freshness and ultimately balance. Loads of fruits on the palate, black and red as well as passion. Spicy, with Herbs de Provence as well as cedar and hints of Southern Rhone-like roasted meat, black cherries and herb switches. Extraordinary minerality. Great stuff. Having no experience with old bottles of this, I assume it is fully mature at this point, but should last 5-8 more years and might develop greater complexity with another 2 or 3 more years. 93

April 18, 2017 - Bright, savory, vibrant, and interesting on day one. Turning and becoming muddy on day two -- and by day three, raisins took over.

March 23, 2017 - Blind: semi-opaque brown with a medium vague narrow rim, alcohol, juniper on the palate. Soy. Medium+ rustic tannin. Hot alcohol(15+). Medium+ acidity, medium+ body, dry.

February 27, 2017 - Had this the night after a 2008. Hard to compare them. Both good but the 2008 was better.

December 28, 2016 - Decanted 2 hours. Tasted along side a 2008 Terry Houge Skins. Really tough to say which was better but they were both outstanding. You could definitely see the more complexity in the TCV with a dominant Mourvedre wine vs the TH which had Grenache dominant. Both great wines.
