August 13, 2017 - Tasted alongside the 2011 Beaucastel double-blind. This offered strong yet suave Grenache character, great balance, and a Chateauneuf-du-Pape-like sense of place. Though smoother than the Beaucastel, it also seemed more rustic. Guessed this to be Old World and the Beaucastel New World. Great experience. Fine wine.

August 7, 2017 - Showing so much finesse and balance with garrigue, briary fruits, spices, olives and very much rhone. Had double blind next to the Beaucastel cdp and I had them flip flopped

July 21, 2017 - Four years in the cellar since my last bottle has treated this well. Nice bright grenache with translucent bright red fruit and nice spiciness and acidity to keep the finish fresh. A touch sweet but good structure saves it from being flabby. Fun wine

July 15, 2017 - This is a lovely wine. Relatively light in color albeit with a dark ruby center. Nose is terrific. Smoke, plum, purple flowers. Get the Grenache acidity and biting raspberry, but some meatiness as well. (I was saving this bottle as I loved it a few years ago, but I don't think age has improved it. Fine, time left, but no need to hold.)

July 2, 2017 - Feels shut down....improves with air but never hits a full flavor profile. Will let the others sit a few years as I know what this wine is capable of
