January 1, 2017 - Another terrific bottle. Ripe unctuous fruit- apricot and honeysuckle flavors. A bit of a caramelized butter on the smooth finish. Extremely complex and balanced.

December 24, 2016 - First thing to notice was the large amount of titrate crystals on the cork, that usually does affect the tannins in the wine. Great nose, tropical fruits, sea shells, quince, sweet spices, impeccable balance, creamy palate, pear juice, fruit cup, salty blue stone and a bit of heat on the tail end. The tannins have dissipated a lot, probably due to the formation of the titrate crystals.

December 23, 2016 - Needed time to open up. Not as much acid or mineral quality as I'd like. Nose of cotton candy, butterscotch, baked pineapple. Full mouth feel; slightly syrupy- but in a good way. Voluptuous. Perhaps my score is not as high as the past due to my evolving palate. But, I'm not sure what will be gained by waiting longer now.....

November 12, 2016 - Our friend visited with his family for a sip 'n snack birthday month event. Followed very nicely after 1999 Champagne Alfred Gratien Brut. Golden, yellowish-grown. The first sister was elegant on the eye. Aromas of vibrant blend of citrus, burnt caramel and toasted almonds. Very, very inviting on the nose...someone needs to make a perfume with that smell! The ultimate second sister!!! Palate was buttery, vanilla cream with a hint too much acidity. A bit too perky third sister, but we waited a little to ensure she acted appropriately. Yes, we think this wine needs another year or two of cellaring before hitting on all cylinders. 97+ in the future!!!
