November 28, 2017 - Drinking very well. Slight effervescence on the front of the palate. Jammy and succulent. Great match for pork tenderloin. Also beautiful day 2. Time to drink up. Score [ 50 + 5 + 12 + 17 + 7 ] = 91.

December 12, 2015 - This wine is very interesting. A bit of a fruit bomb but comes out of the bottle almost like it has a touch of carbonation, tends to go away after it is opened a bit.

July 19, 2015 - If there's a lesson here, it's wasted on me (because this was my last bottle). The lesson is/was that this wine needs air and/or time in the bottle. Opened about an hour before drinking. Black raspberries on the nose and on the palate. Quite rich and viscous. Black pepper and various unidentified spices (not herbs). The fruit danced on my tongue (seriously) for 20 to 30 seconds after swallowing. Not at all hot, port-like, or raisiny. Terrific Zin.

June 5, 2015 - Well I am mixed on this one, comeos out of the bottle a bit funky. Then seems to open up and be pretty good but not much complexity to it. The first bottle I opened was corked, wine seeped thru soft cork. Maybe I just had a bad attitude. I have more and will keep an open mnid.

March 22, 2015 - A year ago, I was very underwhelmed by this - too raisiny and port-like. This time, based on my observation and other members' notes, I opened it about 90 minutes before drinking. Serving with BBQ didn't hurt, either. Anyway, immediately after opening, it tasted raisiny and port-like. 90 minutes later, it was almost effervescent and the sweetness had subsided. An hour after that, the effervescence had been replaced by a pleasant tingling on the tongue. 30 minutes later, the tingling was gone. At every stage, however, it showed a fairly plush texture and a solid finish. God only knows what it would have evolved into an hour after that, because it was gone by then. Ultimately, anybody's score on this will depend on precisely how long after opening it's tasted. I went from 84 to 88 to 92 to 89.

November 8, 2014 - This the second bottle in about a week and I am still a bit conflicted. This comes out of the bottle with an acidic bite and a mouth full of fruit and raisins. Also, has notes of being over the hill??? Then with 20-30 minutes of air it calms down and drinks really pretty nice. I think most folks will either love it or hate it, I am still not sure.
