July 20, 2020 - Very bold; plum, currant and blackberry on the nose. Ripe cherries on the front end, stone fruit on the finish with a lengthy amount of tannins.

December 23, 2014 - Decanted 2 hours....wine opened up nicely....tons of fruit, long finish, some spice on the end, really nice Cab; enjoyed with bone in strips, etc.
December 21, 2012 - 4 hour decant on this, could use longer though. 14.75% ABV.
Blackberries, graphite, dill weed, coconut, what I call the Napa smell, and various florals that mingle into sweet perfume. Very interesting. Palate reflects most of that but I lose the coconut and dill and get more dust.
Nicely balanced and well rounded I think, nothing overwhelms anything else. Quite a nice bottle, and one of the best priced GIIIs that you can find.
October 17, 2012 - Although youthful, this is a perfect example of wine from Beckstoffer vineyard. Sourced from Block F, a premium section of the vineyard, the wonderful balance of the wine certainly shows through the boldness of the fruit, with soft tannins. A classic Cabernet Sauvignon.
