March 25, 2024 - More muted than the others, but that's Italian wines for you! Inconsistency is their Moto! lol. Still beautifully elegant

February 24, 2024 - Definitely not far past prime in my opinion. Drinking very elegant. Soft spoken, multi layered, classical chianti. Beautiful! Drinking far better than what some other's notes suggest. Glad I have 8 more in the cellar to enjoy throughout the year. Definitely drink up, if you have any.

September 28, 2017 - Allowed to breathe in glass 1 hour. Clear deep blood-garnet color with reflections of brick and mahogany. Nice mature bouquet of faded dried red cherries, boysenberry liqueur, stewed tomatoes, pine needles, eucalyptus, leather, tobacco spittoon, dried clay, balsamic, cardamom. Similar on the palate, medium-full body, balanced, nice tannic grip. In graceful decline but still excellent with pasta and tomato sauce.

June 16, 2015 - Still got some fruit. Plums and some licorice. Wish I had a new bottle for comparison. Very surprising ! Aged very well.

August 28, 2010 - a touch thin when we first opened it, but after about 25 mintues the classic chianti flavors came pouring out (pun intended). If you own some, certainly time to drink.

December 14, 2009 - Decanted 1 hour before tasting. Clear, medium ruby-garnet. Meaty bouquet with notes of eucalyptus and forest floor. Smooth, elegant on the palate, with notes of rust and meat. No fruit at all, and did have some bitterness on the finish. Probably was a much more enjoyable wine years ago.

August 19, 2006 - I waited too long. Mushy fruit. Might have been a little cooked.
