August 20, 2014 - This is a wonderful expression, albeit a very deep, dark expression, of Sangiovese. I decanted it for three hours and only in the last couple of glasses two hours later did it really become round, lush and completely gorgeous. Until then it was still wonderful, but with rough tannins on the finish. Regardless, it is multi-dimensional with black tea and earth on the nose, earthy red and black fruit in the mouth with a long finish. I have little doubt the wine has a long life ahead of it.

February 8, 2014 - As usual a stunning wine. The first thing that impresses is the clean and lovely fruit in the nose. This is adjoined by a perfectly balanced palate which is still youthful exhibiting a lot of structure and texture. This wine is lovely, without doubt, and it does not depend on any individual component but rather on the overall impression. I would recommend cellaring for a few years, but it certainly is a treat tonight too!

January 11, 2014 - Classic Sangiovese nose with cherries, plum and parmesan cheese nose. Beautiful red fruit palate with nicely balanced acidity and tannins has a soft rich mouthfeel. Lengthy finish. Perfect pairing with tenderloin served.

October 30, 2013 - Sangiovese at its best. deep garnet color, aroma of flowers, and dark ripe plums. Mouthcoating tannins that last forever. Saving my remaining bottles for another 5 years at least.
