June 11, 2017 - Purple, nearly black. This is a very concentrated, thick Cru Bourgeois, that simply lacks what great bordeaux is all about, poise and elegance. This has to much power and extraction for its aromatic profile and its complexity. And this is something you cannot help with further cellaring. Of course its only a Cru bourgeois but estates as Belle Vue, Charmail of course or even Rollan de By or D'Escurac to name just a few are better in great years for my taste. Nevertheless this will hold through for a decade in a cool cellar.

May 11, 2017 - Is it the year or is the estate? I bought this wine for something like 15 Euros, and it turns out that it is a wonderful, vibrant Bordeaux with full body and depth and complexity. Very nice bouquet, lots of dark berrys and pepper and plum. Cabernet dominated. The tannins are still very noticeable, I would expect this to have a long future. But no need to wait, really great to drink now.

April 12, 2017 - This was a WS Best 100 wine. I can see why. Great potential, but still too young. It needs to sit 2-3 more years. Just now the tannins are beginning to fade and the fruit is showing. I would not touch this for a couple of years.

    January 1, 2017 - Wine 6 in a flight of 6 - served double-blind:

This wine, priced at $20, played in the flight of five other wines that retail at $50 and higher. The bouquet hooked me for high quality 2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, unencumbered by oak. A beautiful wine that features tremendous purity of Cabernet Sauvignon, accentuated by Merlot. Bold, gripping, and very long. It should last until 2027-2030. Ridiculous QPR! 93-94.
