January 22, 2022 - Short on the palate. Nose was shy. Color was noticeably darker than '98 Butteaux also poured last night. Something wen wrong here.

March 7, 2020 - La Paulée de NY Gala Dinner (Pier 60 - NYC): The nose is filled with mature ripe orchard fruits. Wow, the palate is so fresh and high energy. In a good place now.

October 16, 2014 - Magnifient wine, very traditional, extremely elegant, yet quite opulent. Candied citrusfruit, chalk, big seabreeze component, fur sweat, flint, rainwater... The Works!

June 15, 2014 - #BYOB - Big vocal nose, full of browned nutty butter, popcorn and corn on the cob. But there's a stony minerality as well, almost chenin blanc-like, with damp gravel and wet wool.

Full bodied, with massive concentration and a smooth and creamy texture. There's a high piercing acidity, and a dry finish together with slight bitterness. This just kept growing, and growing during the tasting.

(François Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre) Earthy, sweet butter and mineral nose; silky mouth feel, great sweet butter and lemon palate with minerals; medium-plus finish 95+ pts. (with celery root and prosciutto course at Rubicon)
