March 7, 2020 - La Paulée de NY Gala Dinner (Pier 60 - NYC): The nose is filled with mature ripe orchard fruits. Wow, the palate is so fresh and high energy. In a good place now.

October 16, 2014 - Magnifient wine, very traditional, extremely elegant, yet quite opulent. Candied citrusfruit, chalk, big seabreeze component, fur sweat, flint, rainwater... The Works!

June 15, 2014 - #BYOB - Big vocal nose, full of browned nutty butter, popcorn and corn on the cob. But there's a stony minerality as well, almost chenin blanc-like, with damp gravel and wet wool.

Full bodied, with massive concentration and a smooth and creamy texture. There's a high piercing acidity, and a dry finish together with slight bitterness. This just kept growing, and growing during the tasting.

January 18, 2014 - Tasted blind, this wine had a very light yellow center with clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose of lemon, vanilla, stone, and a hint of spearmint.

It didn't seem like Raveneau for a long time. Not surprisingly, it need a ton of air. It was medium bodied with lovely balance and great acidity. This is still too young and needs time. While Raveneau is always interesting, this bottle suggested 1998 doesn't have the makings of a great vintage, maybe just a good vintage.

January 10, 2014 - dinner with the Maddings, this wine drank well but was more round and creamy than i would have expected, no citrus to speak of, instead mostly minerals and lanolin and a creamy texture… i like them with more bit for sure but this drank nicely and was enjoyed by all

July 8, 2011 - This was very tightly shut initially and needed days of air. In the end it became very nice with a wonderfully intense buttery minerality and a very long aftertaste. An outstanding wine from a so-so vintage.
