June 21, 2019 - Opened by GW this had a terrible level at mid shoulder but it had a glorious nose that tasting blind I mistook for a Vosne due to the beguiling tones of spice but the meaty undertones mean it’s actually Gevrey and a Rousseau CSJ from 1961. It doesn’t taste as good as it smells but there is excellent balance, a core of acidity and even tannin on the finish. Wonderful to try.
