  April 3, 2024 - At a trade tasting with Nenin, Potensac & Clos Marquis, drank alongside the 2018 LLC, dark red, steely powerful nose of black fruits, outstanding aromatics, classy, on a different level in terms of purity, refinement & depth, opened for 2.5 hours, superb wine & clearly the wine of the tasting, gorgeous to drink today, pure sophistication

  November 12, 2023 - I opened this too early and I knew it. I just wanted to see what one of the greatest vintages ever looked like in a truly first class Bdx wine. It didn’t disappoint.
  Very restrained, very closed, immense concentration, immense power of perfectly refined tannins. Tastes like a recently fined and softly filtered wine pumped into the tank and ready to be bottled. At the age of 13, wow!
  Purple black essence of cassis and graphite. Absolute balance. 96 now, 100 in the future. Definitely wait, unless you have many. 10-20 years. May be 30 or 50.
  I bet the more the better.
  Impressive is the Word here and the score doesn’t do it any justice.

  November 3, 2023 - Grand Jury du Vin - Republic of Georgia; 11/1/2023-11/9/2023 (Republic of Georgia then stopover in Paris and Dijon): Wine 28 – Caramel, oak, cassis. Modern impression. Silky and big.
  
  Afterthought – I somehow always find LLC to be modern with a touch of oak.

  August 21, 2023 - Cool and refreshing on the palate with refined tannins and medium body. Flavour profile is old world in style, ie despite the vintage it is not over ripe and forward but rather reserved with elements of pencil lead, river stones and a slightly bitter finish. If you like classic Bordeaux then this will be for you, however if you like a more forward fruit driven wine this is a bit uninteresting.

  June 13, 2023 - Love this wine. Great balance. Beginning to sprout some very interesting flavor characteristics. Smoky, old spice, eucalyptus red and black overripened fruits. Bright acidity.
