December 25, 2022 - Lovely Cabernet with flavors of dark cherry , dark plum and licorice. Paired well with standing rub roast.

December 27, 2021 - Drinking beautifully now. Served about 30 minutes after opening and the bottle was approachable from the start. The tannins are noticeable, in a good way, providing support.

January 22, 2021 - Well balanced right now. Silky and smooth. It’s taken this long for it to mellow out, I can’t imagine what it was if tried even a couple years ago. Jammy, heavily fruit forward and quintessential Napa cab. Tannins are in background keeping it all in sync but none of that distinctive tannin pucker or chewy sensation. Perfect right now

May 3, 2020 - I've normally had these Darioush cabs pretty young. And early on they can be a bit monolithic. This one, 12 years from vintage, fantastic. Much better balance. More elegant than fist-pounding. That's not to say it's a light-weight, it's not. But it's a much better behaved heavy-weight. No rough edges. This is a delight to drink now. I don't have a lot of experience with the long term evolution of this style of cab, so for me I would say that it's so attractive now, there's no compelling reason to hold. If I had more (I don't), I would be indulging in my remaining bottles during quarantine!
