October 27, 2023 - Tasted by the glass at the estate in Camara de Lobos, bottle opened 10 days ago; hue turning to brown; superb nose of thyme, pepsi cola, caramel and orange slice. Palate delicate, medium sweat with, lighlty herbal, high bitter, high alcohol. Excellent but less depth and structure after H&H sercial 2001.92

September 14, 2023 - Having tried the previous bottling (with no silver sticker) and the current stickered bottling, I can say the previous was much more striking and vibrant. The new one has toned the acidity down and placed more emphasis on the chocolate, foliage, and hazelnut.

Still a very good representation of this rare style, but look for the sticker-less ones if you can.

August 30, 2023 - Delicious close to proceedings. Salty and with bright orange-accented acidity, but beautifully balanced and thus not at all challenging or harsh. I love rancio!

May 22, 2023 - Calf leather, salted walnuts, bitter orange, tobacco, crayon, and olive brine. Really quite salty and moreish with a chewy texture. It’s so complex but gorgeously balanced. A wine to luxuriate in.

January 23, 2023 - Amber in the glass, glistening with orange rays. Caramel, lemon zest, mushroom, violin rosin, coffee and walnut on the nose and palate. Massive body - like tidal waves in the mouth. An explosive acidity, though in harmonious balance with the residual sugar (it's pretty dry) and the present alcohol. A plum pudding of a wine. A long and smoky finish. Unforgettable.

January 1, 2023 - A perfectly-aged wine from a rare grape - there’s nowhere else in the world producing such sublime wines at such an accessible price. It’s worth every cent. Sublimely balanced with incredible acidity and freshness, complex notes of dried apple and peach, walnut and pecans, old oak floors, chestnuts, intense black tea, and brown butter. It manages to simultaneously like cognac and old champagne. The finish goes on forever. It’s outstanding.

December 16, 2022 - Tawny colour, high viscosity. Intense bouquet w. orange, caramel, some vegetables, walnuts and a bit of smoke. Rich, intense and oxidised w. walnuts and caramel, raisins and old brandy notes. Lengthy finish. Wonderful. Drink it, keep it, drink one glass and keep the rest for decades.

October 28, 2022 - Pale amber with a green rim; intense and long, rapier-like acidity, medium sweet, white and toasted nuts (almond, hazelnut, walnut) and candied fruits, huge energy, precise and savoury, salty notes from the wood, floral lift, Cognac-like finish, superb length. At The Oxford & Cambridge Club, London, UK.

October 18, 2022 - Very enjoyable and easy to drink. This has enough acidity but not overwhelming. A softer style with brown sugar, sweet spices and lighter body. Relatively dry style. . I have had older and more distinctive Terrantez before and this is not in their league but that doesn’t mean this isn’t worth drinking. Just a more forward and softer style with lovely perfume and flavor. It would be easy to drink this whole bottle with four people and not know where it went.
