April 1, 2024 - This really needed an hour double decant to soften and reveal its deep aromas of black cherry, worn leather, dried herbs and sandalwood that gave way to a slightly tart, red fruited, tobacco drenched, mineral flavors that lingered.

December 16, 2023 - In a word sensational. A nice that is in the prefect place. Black fruit - cherry - and tobacco and meat. Lovely balance and many layers. Wanted to just breathe it in!! Is so clean too. And still fresh in the palette. Was not sure about how highly rated this was - and pricy - but now that Inhabe held on to it it is finally shop g its quality. A lovely Brunello. Key is to eat at least the 17 year we have with this one! .

August 3, 2023 - Lots of elegant cherry fruit with a great intensity. Some oak but everything is in a wonderful balance! Great wine that has aged very nicely! Loved it!

February 12, 2022 - Still a nice purple color, not much browning at all, if any after a short decant. Nose is a bit subdued, but there is a nice bouquet of red fruit, underbrush, forest pine, and faint saddle leather.

In the mouth, it is quite decadent with a velvety texture showing layers of red fruit, spice, tobacco, and sandalwood. Red fruit like cherry and pomegranate intensifies on the long finish where the tannin has mostly resolved.

Overall, fantastic Brunello, a top five best ever for me and shows how great Sangiovese can be will proper aging. This wind is ready now, but could certainly hold for 5 or more years based on this bottle. Not sure there is an upside for waiting though. Cheers.

December 4, 2021 - Had really high expectations for this one. Sadly, was a bit disappointed. Enjoyed it much more when it was younger. Still, “suffered” through the entire bottle. :-)
