April 20, 2017 - Black fruit and a bit of tobacco; a pleasant drinker. Tannins pretty relaxed. On target for the drinking window up to 2019 shown. Must note that when the wine is still it smells of fruit, but when swirled there's an odd rusty old bucket aroma. No idea what that's about.

March 6, 2017 - Popped and poured. This was fairly ho-hum until about an hour and a quarter after being opened, at which point, it suddenly opened up to be quite a nice, if unexceptional wine. Needs air.

September 17, 2016 - Hints of Rutherford dust on the nose

Dark fruits and cocoa on the palate. Very balanced with some earthy tones on the finish.

September 3, 2016 - Similar impressions as my earlier notes, but did not need as much air to shine through on all measures. Outstanding for $24!!

July 18, 2016 - Favorite Meritage of family wine expert and the rest of the crew. Too bad they are out of business.
