Not entirely what I think of when I think of pinot, and after an hour or two it occurred to me that this tasted like a fruit-forward merlot. But that's not to say that I didn't like it though. Nice silky texture, and I actually thought this had quite a bit more stuffing than many 09 Oregon pinots, which can be a bit blowsy. Still young and could use some more time to unwind, so I'd try to hold off on these for a while. (89-91?)

  April 28, 2012 - Garnet ruby with medium viscosity in the glass. Vanilla, cinnamon, black cherry, raspberry and cedar on the nose. Medium body with black cherry, currant and spice on the palate. Decent structure. Med-short finish.
