January 5, 2023 - Better than the 2012, which was really too syrupy, this has enough acidity to keep it on the right side of the tracks. Blackberry and cedar aromas, with quite a full-bodied mouthful of blackberry and slightly earthy dark cherry. So far, so good - where it slightly disappointed me was the lack of much personality - a little more Pessac earthiness would not have gone amiss. Also, it's a neither/nor sort of wine - neither the quality of a true CC nor the price of a CB or equivalent. There are lots of Crus Bourgeois from the Médoc costing half the price or less that would give it a run for the money. I preferred the Louvière 2010 from the same vintage, which cost a bit less.

January 1, 2023 - Superbe!

March 25, 2019 - I think this wine is now at his best: abundance of fruit resulting in a great nose, caracteristic cedar and chocolate, making it easy to enjoy even without food, but was great with a steak with esplette peppers. Longlasting finish.
