April 17, 2022 - Bright full garnet. Lightly floral, lacy Chambolle with a mineral line. Finely crystalline. Just a bit tighter and less giving than the previous bottle. Porcelain, but with a somewhat dullened patina. . ***1/2

May 29, 2021 - The corkiest smelling cork that I’ve ever had the misfortune to sniff. That said, the wine is lovely. Densely silky, so densely so that it’s almost a tight velvet. Fragrant, slightly floral, elegant Chambolle, some sous bois along with the soft red fruit. Just a sneaky suspicion that the cork might have been telling me something and there’s a touch of fruit-stripping. Even with the possible TCA this is a solid ****

October 1, 2015 - Filippo's Fourrier @ Trompette (La Trompette, London): Blind. Very fragrant. Some depth here. Cherry-led fruit. Quite plush, but starts to show a little tannin with air. Harmonious and food friendly. ****

December 12, 2013 - Chambolle & Gevrey @ Trompette (La Trompette, London): Single blind. Very plush on the nose. Quite cooly restrained but plush. Far fresher with higher acidity. Silky with air. Filigree. Light and lovely. ****

November 15, 2012 - Decanted 1hr before trying. Full, bright ruby. Red cherry and raspberry nose. Still quite tightly defined, crisp fruit, mineral, initially quite linear, opening up a little through the evening. Starting to show a little more frgrance. It is unfurling slightly, but needs longer. Bright. Just about ****
