January 10, 2016 - A Pair of Carmenere (My House, Waterbury, Vermont with Marcel): Coravin'd for 2 hours. A bit murkier than the Montes, this too is purple/black, opaque. The nose is classy with a potpourri of dried spices, flowers and a complex range of red and black fruit aromas. Excellent, silky texture is polished and elegant leading to rich flavors of ripe black fruit, licorice and pan-roasted spices. Great persistence on the finish, this is a really good showing. Drink now through 2024.

May 3, 2013 - PPWTC - Wines of Chile Blind Tasting: Inky violet color with cherry, cassis, eucalyptus, and cedarwood aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, and smooth with medium acidity and sweet tannins. It shows concentrated cassis, cherry, bittersweet chocolate flavors . Medium-long finish.

March 14, 2013 - Raspberry and plums in the nose, very attractive, the palate is tight with good fruit concentration and green "carmenere stuff" with the little touch of oak. The wine stays vivid and with personality, soft tannins in mid finish, imo in peak now.
