December 20, 2016 - Liked but didn't love this - very pretty, but quite a step down from the '11 FDP we had the previous night. Lots of bright red fruit, green herbs and some pine needle notes with finesse and lively acidity on the palate, but not showing the depth of flavour I typically expect from Baudry.

December 20, 2016 - Very yummy, textbook Cab Franc, with black berries, herbs, pencil lead. Very pretty mouthfeel; quite young, yummy.

November 11, 2016 - Not liking this as much as a few years ago. Plenty of good acid, juicy fruit, and cab franc flavors - just seems flatter.

July 12, 2016 - Beautiful and elegant, but not hugely expressive right now with a muted nose and tightness on the palate. I will leave my remaining bottles for a few more years at least.

(Bernard Baudry Chinon Clos Guillot) A clay and limestone terroir. This has been in barrel for one month. A fabulous Chinon nose, all limestone and black fruits, fresh and defined. And on the palate, there is a lovely supple presence to the fruit which covers a crunchy layer of firm, tannins and also a very fresh and forceful layer of crisp acidity. There is a lot going on here, but it all comes together in a supple, polished midpalate presence before the tannins come out at the finish. This is a well-structured composition. It should be lovely.
